The travel vouchers will be rolled out in tranches, with the first 40,000 vouchers valued at $200 each available to be redeemed for travel between Saturday, 12 December 2020 and Friday, 22 January 2021.
"The vouchers will provide an important incentive for Victorians to travel to many regions including Gippsland which was hit hard hit by bushfires last summer along with significant drought conditions in previous years" said Mr Northe.
"Victorians have had a tough year with many plans and events being cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, now more than ever Victorians deserve the opportunity to get away and explore our regional areas with family and friends" Mr Northe said.
"Regional towns are relying heavily on Victorians patronage leading into the holiday period, so why not holiday in one of our wonderful regional communities" said Mr Northe.
The vouchers will be available from 10:00am tomorrow, with successful applicants able to redeem their voucher after they have travelled, ensuring cash flows immediately to regional businesses.
Additional rollouts of 40,000 vouchers will also be made available from 20 January 2021 for travel between 27 January 2021 and April 1 2021, and once again on 30 March 2021 a further 40,000 vouchers will be provided for travel between 6 April 2021 and 31 May 2021.
