Hippo! Hippo! Is coming to Latrobe Performing Arts Centre!

Coming to the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre on Monday 30 May at 6.30pm is HIPPO! HIPPO! A BIG NEW Musical Adventure! It’s based on the phenomenally successful children’s classic, There’s a Hippopotamus on Our Roof Eating Cake, written by Australian children’s author Hazel Edwards and illustrated by Deborah Niland.

Morning melodies commemorates great songs of the war

What is it about war time that induces such fervent music-making? Over There – Great Songs of the War takes you on a tour of duty through the many iconic hits of the war years – from boogie wosogie beats to heart-rending ballads. The show will come to the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday 1 June 2016 at 11am.

A child’s perspective gives an inspirational rags-to-riches tale a new spin. The Peasant Prince, to be performed at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday 7 June at 6pm, is the children’s version of Mao’s Last Dancer.

Pet registration amnesty to continue until end May

Latrobe City Council’s pet registration amnesty will remain in place until 31 May as a door-knock campaign continues. To date, more than 2000 homes have been visited.
