Dairy Innovators’ boutique event about to openThe farmer-owned Australian Dairy Conference is about to release program plans for its 2009 event – which heralds the re-introduction of the highly successful Dairy Innovators’ Forum concept. By Susan Webster - 12th November 2008 - Back to News Programming committee chair Jamie Snell, of Merrigum, Victoria has led the process that will see the event capped at 120 farmers and 30 service providers in order to provide an intimate forum for challenging discussion.
"The biggest challenge with programming for an Innovators’ Forum – is that we are programming for people who are already active information seekers and typically are taking their business right to the edge in the quest for optimising their productivity," Mr Snell said.
"We have left no stone unturned in preparing this program in a manner that will take delegates to a new level of conference experience."
The Dairy Innovators’ Forum will take place at Novotel Creswick, just north of Ballarat, from February 22-24.
The decision to cap numbers is part of a broader strategy to retain the momentum for the larger Australian Dairy Conference – which is scheduled for Wollongong in 2010.
"We make no apologies for the fact that invariably, some people wanting to attend an Innovators’ will miss out. Our philosophy is very much that we understand the power of working with a small group and the opportunities that provides to delve into detail and really challenge the thinking style," Mr Snell said.
"This was an overwhelming response from delegates at the inaugural Innovators’ Forum, held in Mt Gambier in 2006 and we look forward to building on that point of difference."
The Dairy Innovators Forum program and registration is scheduled for release on December 1, however pre-release bookings can be made by contacting the event organisers Esther Price Promotions on 1800 177 636 or esther@estherprice.com.au
