By GippsTAFE - 1st December 2003 - Back to News

Students can complete the VCE Certificate in one year, or it can be studied part-time over a number of years, requiring attendance at a class once or twice a week, depending on the subjects being studied.

Night classes are also held at year 12 level for those with busy lifestyles.

In 2004 a range of subjects will be offered, including year 12 English, further maths, psychology, information processing and management, history of revolutions, health and human development and legal studies.

Year 11 subjects on offer include English, General Maths, Psychology, Information Technology and Legal Studies.

Subjects not offered on campus can be studied through the Distance Education Centre of Victoria.

According to GippsTAFE students studying year 12 in recent years achieved excellent results with a number of students receiving study scores over 40 and obtaining ENTER scores in the 90s.

Many students achieve results allowing them to obtain places in tertiary courses either at universities or TAFE Institutes.

The Community Access Centre provides a friendly learning environment and teachers who support student needs.

VCE enrolments will take place at the Community Access Centre at GippsTAFE’s Yallourn campus from the 22nd of January to the 9th of February. All classes will start the week on February 2nd.

For details regarding GippsTAFE VCE courses contact Jeanne Slater on 5127 0290 from January 22nd.
