Upgrades on the state's education buildings will ensure every students can access a local school and get a quality education
Education state for quality education
In the past five years, the Andrews Government has invested more than $9 billion in more than 1,600 school upgrades – creating more than 10,000 construction jobs – and is now ahead of schedule its commitment to open 100 new schools by 2026, with 48 new schools opening between 2019 and 2022. The Andrews Government is building the Education State to ensure that every student can access a great local school and get a quality education.
Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing said, "It’s been such a privilege to work with the two schools for a number of years in developing this project, and securing the funding required to enable both schools to flourish into the future. The teachers, staff, school councils and families at both schools have been instrumental in shaping the priorities for the architect’s brief, and I can’t wait to see the new plans come to life as we move towards construction."
