Grants for Local Sports Clubs Now OpenFunding support offers for local sports club. By Portal Admin - 26th January 2020 - Back to News Member for Morwell Russell Northe is encouraging sporting clubs in the Morwell electorate to consider applying for funding support through a Victorian Government grant initiative.
"A new round of the Government’s "Sporting Club Grants" is now open for applications to local grassroots sporting clubs" said Mr Northe.
Four category options are available for sporting clubs to apply for including; grants towards uniforms and equipment and training funding for coaches, officials and volunteers.
Grassroots sporting clubs really are the heart of the community and often made up of many dedicated volunteers.
"The Sporting Club Grants will help to create more opportunities for local sporting organisations and their participants, coaches, officials and volunteers," Mr Northe said.
Local Club grants can provide up to –
- $5000 for training for coaches, officials and volunteers
- $5000 to improve operational effectiveness.
- $2000 to address barriers that Indigenous athletes face in terms of participation in sport
and active recreation
- $1000 for new uniforms and equipment.
