Free information session on marketing workshops for small businessesA free information session on marketing workshops for small businesses will be held on Tuesday 10 February at Latrobe’s Citizen Service Centre in Kay Street, Traralgon starting at 6pm. By Latrobe City Council - 4th February 2004 - Back to News Latrobe City Investment Manager, Leo Billington said that participants would be able to access current strategies and ideas to effectively market and develop their products and services.
"We are planning a series of half-day workshops followed by one-on-one site counselling sessions for up to ten participating businesses. These are planned for early March," Mr Billington said.
"The series of workshops will focus on understanding the major theories, principles and practices of successful marketing as well as practical marketing tips and ideas all of which will enable participants to develop their own individually tailored marketing plan.
"In these times of strong market competition, a marketing plan which is unique to the business and remains competitive means that a company can plan ahead and allocate financial resources in a more effective manner. This program is also very timely, just as the New Year begins, allowing smaller companies to start the year with a more strategic approach," Mr Billington explained.
Mr Billington added that marketing specialists, Innovative Practical Marketing, had been appointed to facilitate the workshops.
"The $15,000 grant for these workshops has been made available under the State Government’s Grow Your Business program, developed in Victoria which provides small business operators with an excellent opportunity to learn and network," Mr Billington concluded.
Initial enquiries about the information session and the workshops can be made to Leo Billington at Latrobe City on 1300 367 700.
