By Russell Northe - 5th September 2013 - Back to News Mr Northe said "I wish to also make mention of the Barrier Breakers annual charity dinner this Saturday evening to help raise funds towards a mental health supported accommodation project in Traralgon.
"Whilst the State Coalition Government has already announced funding towards the accommodation project, the fund raising efforts for this year’s dinner is vitally important.
"Congratulations to all involved in organising such a wonderful event and to the Gippsland community for their support."
Mr Northe said "The Victorian Coalition Government last year announced the government would fund MIND, a partner of Barrier Breakers in the project, with $348,000 over the next four years to provide outreach support to the proposed tenants of the units.
"The Victorian Coalition Government has also previously provided $100,000 in administrative funding to assist Barrier Breakers with its mental health advocacy services across Gippsland," Mr Northe said.
"I commend Barrier Breakers on the great work they undertake on behalf of the Gippsland community for those persons with mental health issues and their family and carers.
