Tulloch Street footpath in Dalyston soon to start
Construction of a new footpath along Tulloch Street in Dalyston will get underway this month.
Bass Coast Shire Council is completing this $100,000 project, which will see a new footpath constructed along Tulloch Street, between the Bass Highway and Bent Street. Work will start by Friday, 21 January and is expected to take around eight weeks to complete.
The community, local residents, businesses and other stakeholders will be kept up to date with the project via Council's website and letter box drops or mail outs where appropriate
Improvements to be done
The aim of this project is to improve access for pedestrians and provide a safe connection to existing footpath networks. Earthworks to remove vegetation, grass and topsoil and minor drainage works at the intersection with Back Lane will be required for the construction of the new footpath.
The works will include the use of large plants and machinery and might be noisy at times. Council understands that these works may present an inconvenience to nearby residents and appreciates their patience during these times. The contractor will make every effort to minimise disruptions during construction.
Appropriate traffic/pedestrian measures will be in place for the duration of the works.
