play in the Victorian community.

Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Member for Morwell Russell Northe said the day was an opportunity for the industry and the work undertaken on a daily business to be promoted.

"Beginning last year, World Plumbing Day is a great way to recognise the highly valuable work that our local plumbers do each day, and the excellent service they provide to our community.

"Whilst this may be an unusual event, it is certainly a deserving one. We have some terrific small business owners and tradies who do a fantastic job and it’s great to be able to have a day to promote their work.

"Plumbing is essential in protecting the health of our communities, and we often take it for granted. In developing countries many people have yet to discover the real difference that plumbing can make and World Plumbing Day will help many more people to understand that the industry is a key player in many aspects of society."

A breakfast for all those in the plumbing industry will be held at the Gippsland Water Depot, Hazelwood Rd Traralgon on 11 March from 7:00am.
