Telstra Grants Now Open Nationals Member for Morwell Russell Northe is encouraging eligible organisations to apply for the current round of Telstra Foundation grants. By Russell Northe - 5th July 2012 - Back to News These grants are part of Telstra’s celebrations of 10 years of the Telstra Foundation and are aimed at increasing the access of disadvantaged children and young people to modern communication technologies.
"Telstra is making available one hundred $10,000 grants to local community organisations to help enhance digital inclusion," said Mr Northe.
"These grants come under the Everyone Connected banner and are available to non-profit and incorporated organisations including pre-schools and schools.
"Projects and activities that support disadvantaged children and/or young people who may have difficulty accessing modern communication technologies and the benefits they bring due to income, ability, location or disadvantage are all eligible for funding.
"I encourage all relevant organisations to access the Telstra Foundation website and examine the criteria for the grants," he said.
Applications close on Monday 30 July 2012, with successful applicants to be announced in September 2012.
