Darren Chester with his 10-year-old nephew Tate McQueen at the Lakes Entrance parkrun on 25 March 2023
Bit of a family affair at Lakes Entrance parkrun this morning. My 10-year-old nephew Tate and I both won our age groups (not that it's a race of course) but he beat me across the line by more than two minutes! Well done Tate. Of course a family Big Bears Donuts celebration was in order.
Good to see a bunch of hardy souls (or maybe we were just mad) braving a wet morning at Lakes Entrance parkrun. Huge thanks to the volunteers across Gippsland who keep parkrun happening every Saturday morning for all the walkers and runners.
