Community support initiative

Cr Crook said, "Being a small, isolated township, Council is aware of the loss of accommodation and a major employer will have a significant impact on the wellbeing of residents and the Cann Valley economy."

"We are assisting affected business owners and their employees by connecting them to the right supports. Assistance for the wider community is also being established by local organisations," he said. Cann River, where two highways meet, is a major rest stop area for people travelling to and from NSW.
