Issues ranging from education, mobile coverage, land management, health, roads and energy were on the agenda when Mr O'Brien met with locals in their hometowns.
Mr O'Brien said he was particularly grateful to be welcomed by the teachers and students at Cowwarr Primary School
Engaging with constituents
Mr O'Brien said, "With the Gippsland South electorate now expanded to include Cowwarr and Toongabbie, it was great to get out and meet with locals in their hometown to discuss the issues that matter most to them. Gippsland South is such a large and diverse electorate and I really value the opportunity to see the issues my constituents are facing first-hand so we can discuss them face-to-face."
"While I am very familiar with these towns having grown up in the Valley, this visit was a great chance to catch-up and see how I can assist with the matters that are impacting locals today," he said.
Mr O'Brien said he was particularly grateful to be welcomed by the teachers and students at Cowwarr Primary School. "I am always delighted by the calibre of future leaders we have coming through our local schools and the students at Cowwarr Primary School did not disappoint." Mr O'Brien said he was now following up a number of concerns with the State Government as a result of this visit and is hoping to achieve some great outcomes for the area.
