Short online course to help improve South Gippsland visitor experience available for local business owners and residents
South Gippsland Shire Council is encouraging interested business owners and residents to complete a short online course to help improve the South Gippsland visitor experience.
The aim of the online Ambassador Program is to create local tourism ambassadors who can provide visitors to South Gippsland with valuable information about local attractions, towns and activities. The Program is free and has been broken down into seven modules, each taking around 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
The Ambassador Program is an objective of the South Gippsland Shire Council Visitor Economy Strategy
Join the ambassador program
The modules include sections on customer service, South Gippsland highlights, Wilsons Promontory, things to see/do and safety tips. Participants will learn about local events, produce, walking and cycling experiences, what happens in an emergency and the local tourism structure.
The Program will be particularly useful for people who work with customers in retail businesses and eateries across the region, as it will provide answers to some commonly asked questions and help to increase customer satisfaction.
Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion and confirmation that they are a South Gippsland Tourism Ambassador. To find out more about the Program or to sign up please visit My South Gippsland website.
