Wellington Shire offers chance to win exciting prizes when exploring bike tracks and trails from February to March 2024
Wellington Shire Council encourages residents to explore local tracks and trails in the two-month Wellington Tracks & Trails initiative starting February 1, 2024. Participate for a chance to win prizes.
Wellington Shire Council is urging residents to head outdoors and hit the gravel next month as part of a new initiative to get active and explore The Middle of Everywhere fantastic tracks and trails. Commencing 1 February 2024, Wellington Tracks & Trails is a two-month long community initiative aimed at gathering insights into how the community utilises existing tracks and trails, identifying popular routes and pinpointing areas in need of accessibility improvements.

Pathway program prizes
The program will also support council's next Open Space Plan, creating healthy, active and connected communities through improved path networks that link key destinations like parks, gardens, and open spaces. Visitors will have the chance to win exciting prizes, including a Push 'n' Pedal Cycles voucher worth $1000!
Other prizes include a three-month Aqua Energy Leisure Centre membership and individual pool and gym passes. Enter by simply visiting a participating track or trail throughout February and March 2024, scanning the QR code posted at the entry point and completing a short survey.
Trail usage evaluation
Wellington Shire Council Mayor Ian Bye said that the initiative is an important step to evaluate how we use our tracks and trails now and into the future. "We encourage residents to enjoy the benefits that our open spaces offer by getting outdoors and taking part in this awesome program."
"With many tracks and trails to choose from in The Middle of Everywhere, this is the perfect time of the year to get outdoors and discover a new part of your local community that you might not know existed" Cr Bye said.

- Willow Park Walk, Rosedale
- Yarram Wetlands
- Tarra Trail, Yarram - Alberton
- Tarra Trail - Alberton - Port Albert
