Works underway for the multi-million dollar network of mountain bike trails in Omeo
Project that would give a boost for sustainable local jobs in Omeo.
Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester said, "For the high country towns which boomed in the gold rush, the 'Lycra rush' should be a boost for sustainable local jobs in the future. This is a project which has attracted support from all levels of government and there's a lot of work underway on the trails as the crew from 'Common Ground' make the most of the good weather."

Mr Chester said, "It will be a huge boost to the visitor economy and encourage year-round tourism and we're already seeing new business investments to support the growth in accommodation and hospitality."
