Sports Lighting Projects for Latrobe City to be officially unveiled on 25 September 2023
The Sports Lighting Projects, funded by the government's Sport and Recreation Victoria Community Sports Infrastructure Stimulus Program, will be officially unveiled on September 25th at 11 am.
At the official opening of Latrobe City Council Sports Lighting Projects, CEO of Latrobe City Council Steve Piasente will MC the event, with the Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Kellie O'Callaghan and Netball Director of Newborough Football Netball Club, Chelsea Granger both sharing some words.
The Sports Lighting Projects will emphasise the importance in improving local sports as it will also help boost tourism in Latrobe City

The official unveiling of the Sports Lighting Projects will be held on Monday September 25 at 11am with details as follows:

Delivered lighting upgrades
Lighting upgrades were delivered at the following locations between December 2020 and April 2023:
- George Bates Oval, Yallourn North
- Ronald Reserve Oval, Morwell
- Old Trafford Oval, Traralgon
- WH Burrage Reserve Soccer Pitch, Newborough
- Northern Reserve Netball Courts, Newborough
The event is an opportunity to celebrate this project and the valuable impact it will have on the lives of those who play, watch, or help behind the scenes to bring local sport to life.
