Mr Chester said, "The project has delivered safety upgrades for pedestrians and improved drainage, as well as significant landscape works which protect the amenity of the popular coastal town. The former Federal government provided $1.5 million for the works, which were managed by East Gippsland Shire Council."

"I’m working with the Council to overcome issues with long vehicle parking, which is a problem for many of our towns that attract visitors with large caravans and boats. Mallacoota is a fantastic place to take a break at any time of the year, and with the weather warming up, it’s going to be a busy holiday season," Mr Chester said.
