Latrobe City Council 2025/26 Community Grants open to support local projects, social inclusion and events until 25 July 2025
Latrobe City Council's 2025/26 Community Grants support local projects fostering inclusion, wellbeing and connection. Applications for various grant streams open 14 July; SIAG Connection Grants and Quick Response Grants are also available.
Latrobe City Council continues to support community groups by providing funding for council's 2025/26 Community Grants program. The program provides financial support to a diverse range of community led projects and initiatives that foster social inclusion, cultural enrichment, strengthen community connections and contribute to the overall health and wellbeing of our vibrant City.

Supporting local projects
The Community Grant Program includes the following grant streams: Capital Works (Major and Minor), Events (Major and Minor) and Community Wellbeing. The round opens on 14 July 2025 and closes 8 August 2025. Council's Community Essentials Quick Response Grant is also currently open for submissions, closing on 11 July 2025.
The Latrobe City Social Inclusion Action Group (SIAG) is driven by the community to create fair and long-lasting connections in Latrobe City, leading to improved mental health outcomes. The SIAG Community Connection Grant is providing grants up to $5000 to new or established projects to improve social connection, inclusion and wellbeing in the community. The SIAG 2025/26 round one is open for submissions until 25 July 2025.
Empowering local initiatives
Latrobe City Council Mayor, Councillor Dale Harriman said council is proud to be a driver for community initiatives, enabling individuals and organisations to make a positive impact. "We understand the importance of the Community Grants program to our community and community groups. The program provides financial assistance to successful applicants, enabling them to cover various project-related costs, such as equipment, venue hire, promotional materials and professional services."
"Latrobe City Council is committed to working alongside the community to provide support to organisations and groups that not only helps them to grow but aids in increasing social connection and improved physical and mental health outcomes for our communities," said the Mayor.
The Community Grants program aims to support community initiatives, projects and events that support the local region and those that have positive social and economic benefits for the broader community, while enabling community, volunteer and not-for-profit organisations access to additional funds to support their projects.
