South Gippsland hard waste collection service open for October - November pickups, fees and eligibility and details
Hard waste collection bookings are now open for October - November. Residential properties can book one annual pickup. Fees apply. Book online by August; dates confirmed in late September.
Our hard waste collection service is now open for bookings for scheduled pick-ups for October and November. To help you decide if this service is your best option, we've answered some common questions below.
Residents must book and pay for hard waste collection in July or August, online or via PDF form - $162, or $58 for pension card holders

How much does collection cost?
- Full fee - $162
- Pension card holders - $58
How much hard waste can I have collected?
- Maximum of 2 cubic metres
- For example: 1 metre wide x 1 metre high x 2 metres long
How often is hard waste collection conducted?
- Once per year
- Bookings are taken in July and August
- Collections take place during October and November
Why don't I get a collection for free?
- We use a 'user pays' system, meaning that you only pay if you use the service
- Some councils charge all ratepayers for the service, meaning it is not actually a free service
Who is eligible for a hard waste collection?
- All residential properties, including rural residential properties
- Commercial and industrial properties are not eligible
