Melina Bath urges local community and volunteer groups to apply for 2025 - 2026 Community Food Relief Grants to help tackle growing food insecurity and support people in need
Supporting food relief
Ms Bath said, "I have visited many organisations throughout eastern Victoria that quietly go about their business, selflessly supporting those in need during this cost-of-living crisis. We know that the demand for food relief is increasing as families struggle to pay bills and keep a roof over their head and meals on the table."
"Food insecurity is a growing problem - a successful grant application can extend services and allow community and volunteer groups to continue assisting people experiencing disadvantage in our community."
"I invite all our eligible groups to consider applying for this latest round of the Community Food Relief Program," said Ms Bath. Applications for the 2025-2026 Community Food Relief Program - Local Grants close on 19 August 2025. For more information and to apply, visit Victorian Government website.
