GippsTAFE Interactive CD Rom

New interactive CD has already proved a hit with Gippsland students

It may not be a top 10 chart stopper… but a new interactive CD from GippsTAFE, has already proved a hit with Gippsland students.

The information CD Rom was developed especially for the Secondary Schools, Tertiary Information Service (TIS) Tour, which was attended last week by Year 12 students from across the region.

Darren Teller from GippsTAFE’s Student Services Department said the CD Rom was a much more relevant information format for teenagers.

"The CD is a unique product as it not only contains the GippsTAFE Course Guide, but descriptions of individual courses, video and audio footage of students, and information on the Motorcycle and Truck Training arm of the Institute, SMART Training".

"The CD also provides updated information through a link to the GippsTAFE website, so students can see the latest news about GippsTAFE on the Internet" said Mr Teller.

He said feedback from students at the TIS tour, which was attended by over 2,000 Year 12 Students, was excellent, with hundreds of the CD’s being snapped up in days.

GippsTAFE’s Student Services staff work across Gippsland providing assistance and advice to students about studying at GippsTAFE, and organising student activities.
