Victoria’s TAFEs have been left in limbo, with no knowledge of who will guide them in just eight days’ time.

Labor plans to dissolve the leadership of Victoria’s 12 publicly owned TAFEs on June 30 so union representatives can be appointed to their boards.

New directors were supposed to commence on July 1 but, after seven months and with just eight days to go, no new directors have been announced.

Daniel Andrews should spend less time trying to fight the CFA’s 60,000 volunteers and more time fulfilling his promise to rescue Victoria’s struggling TAFE system.

Quotes attributable to Shadow Minister for Training, Skills and Apprenticeships Steph Ryan

"Victoria's TAFEs are in limbo under Daniel Andrews."

"In days Labor plans to dissolve Victoria's TAFE boards, yet no replacement directors have been announced.

"At a time when TAFEs need stable leadership and governance, Daniel Andrews is sacking every TAFE board so he can appoint his union mates."
