SALE’S rich history and many attractions are featured in a new publication Sale Shoppers and Visitors Guide – The Essential Guide for All Visitors.

By Wellington Shire Council - 26th July 2005 - Back to News

Gippsland Times and Wellington Shire Council joined forces to produce the guide, which has been distributed to traders, tourist operators and visitor information centres across the shire.

The 24-page, glossy publication contains everything a visitor needs to know about Sale and the surrounding area including a comprehensive list of attractions – featuring a calendar of events, art and craft venues, local wineries and much more.

Popular picnic and recreation spots such as state parks, beaches and the lakes in and around Sale are also highlighted.

Sale’s superb history comes alive in the Guide with a vast number of historic buildings, bridges and museums listed as places of interest.

Wellington’s Mayor Peter Gault: "Sale has a wonderful history and a wealth of reminders still around to transport visitors back in time.

"Sale is a great place to visit because it is so central to all of Gippsland’s natural wonders."

Gippsland Times Advertising Manager Liz Guest said: "The Guide has all the information visitors to the area need including information on what to do and where to go plus there are maps of Sale and the region, which will prove invaluable for visitors to the area."
