Soul sisters swing into TraralgonThe ever popular Morning Music series continues on Wednesday 27 April with the fabulous ‘Soul Sister Swing’ performing at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre, Traralgon at 11am. By City of Latrobe - 7th April 2005 - Back to News Latrobe City’s Performing Arts and Venues Co-ordinator, Kathleen Roberts said that ‘Soul Sister Swing’ features three of the best voices around.
"The trio perform songs from the Andrew Sisters and the swing era of the 1940s, through the fabulous sixties, with tributes to artists such as Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Gladys Knight and the popular sounds of Motown and more," Ms Roberts explained.
"Accompanied by some of the finest musicians around, the group sings memorable tunes such as ‘Mr Sandman’, ‘Respect’, ‘The Boy from New York City’ and ‘Hit the Road Jack’," Ms Roberts said.
"Don’t miss out on a morning packed with infectious rhythms, superb harmonies and toe-tapping tunes. The polished and professional performers of Soul Sister Swing are sure to have you dancing in your seats," Ms Roberts concluded.
‘Soul Sister Swing’ will be performing at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre in Traralgon on Wednesday 27 April at 11am. Complimentary tea and coffee will be served from 10.30am. Tickets are available from the Latrobe City Box Office telephone 5176 3559.
