2018 China Business Delegation

Cultural induction program with 2018 China Business Delegation

By Portal Admin - 13th January 2018 - Back to News

Latrobe City Council will lead a business delegation to China to help businesses explore potential opportunities in the wake of the Free Trade Agreement recently established with China by the Federal Government. Council is seeking expressions of interest from business and industry from across the Gippsland region, with the delegation planned for April 2018.

Latrobe City Council’s mayor, Councillor Darrell White, said the delegation would visit Taizhou, YanCheng and other major cities in China.

"If your business is located in Gippsland and you are looking to enter the lucrative Asian market, we want to hear from you. You will be given the opportunity to meet with overseas representatives from the Victorian Government Business Offices and strengthen connections with some of our City’s strongest partners.

"All participants will be provided with a ‘cultural induction program’ for China, as well as being introduced to appropriate international, federal and state government agencies.

"This is an outstanding opportunity to learn more about the Asian trading market, with connections already provided. Your business networks will widen and your potential opportunities will increase, so make sure you sign up," Cr White said.

Members of the delegation will be responsible for their own travel expense. Applications close 5pm, Wednesday 31 January 2018. Register your interest at www.latrobe.vic.gov.au/china
