More Children to benefit from Fitness FundraiserVictorian Hospitals to benefit from Fitness Fundraiser By Talevski Media and Communications - 6th September 2013 - Back to News TLC for Kids charity which services the Latrobe Regional Hospital will benefit from more than $10,000 raised across Victorian health clubs.
More than 200 kilometres covered, more than 10,000 calories torched, and over 7 hours of running and cycling has ensured another successful year of fundraising for some of the State’s most vulnerable children.
Members and staff at Fitness First Richmond have come together to raise $1000 for children’s charity TLC for Kids.
In an impressive show of community spirit Fitness First Clubs in Victoria collectively raised a total of $10,665.
TLC for kids programs provides support to children attending hospitals as in-patients and out-patients and in a variety of settings in hospitals and clinics.
Fitness First Richmond Club Manager Eugene Downing said he was absolutely delighted at the ongoing support members and staff provided to the cause.
"TLC do an amazing job and we are just so thrilled to be able to provide this support to a more than worthy charity," he said.
"All Clubs in Victoria have again come together to do our bit for kids and families doing it tough in our local communities. I hope everyone can get behind TLC and give where possible."
Clubs participated in raffles, treadmill and bike challenges, charity group classes and general donations.
