Escape to the premier event in Victorian agribusinessNewly appointed chair of the Murray-Darling Basin Authority Michael Taylor AO will discuss global upheaval and agribusiness outlooks at the Victorian Agribusiness Summit staged by Agribusiness Gippsland at Cowes on August 5-6. Later this year he is addressing the Financial Planning Association of Australia’s national conference on his research ... so here’s a chance to hear about it first.
There will be an important address on the issue of food security by Prof Trevor Budge and revealing insights into issues for communities of rural Victoria by Gippsland-born Professor Allan Curtis.
Veteran agricultural heavyweight Pat McNamara will discuss farming after fires and there will be important industry updates on horticulture, beef, the equine industry and fisheries/aquaculture.
Organics and agritourism will be discussed and there will be a presentation on the future of biofuels by Tony St Clair, agribusiness manager MBD Energy, the company that this year signed a deal with Loy Yang Power for a CO2 bio-sequestration plant. Former Chief Executive of NZ Federated Farmers, Queensland-born Tony also served as VFF executive director.
And – there’s a great dinner speaker in Test legend … and farmer … Glenn McGrath.
