Russell Broadbent is urging Australians to stand up, speak up, and stay strong against censorship bills that endanger free speechThe government's censorship bills threaten our freedoms. Let's unite, speak up, and support a movement focused on protecting rights and building a vibrant, censorship-free future for Australia. By news@gippsland - 8th November 2024 - Back to News The government's censorship and social media bills are not only alarming - they are a violation of our fundamental freedoms. I first became aware of the censorship and silencing by social media in 2021. Before that, I didn't know such censorship was a thing! I could hardly believe what I was hearing.
'I also want to encourage you to stand up, speak up, stay strong and optimistic, we need a grassroot movement - an individual can do so much,' says Russell Broadbent Uphold your voiceWhy would a doctor's posts be removed if they mentioned healthy eating, sunshine, exercise, ivermectin, or Vitamin C or zinc? Why would AHPRA threaten a doctor's registration for the so-called offence of promoting health and wellness? And then I started getting calls from people who'd been severely injured by the vaccines whose own personal accounts were being removed by Facebook, YouTube and Twitter - why? Because in one way or other they were deemed misinformation! Well to anyone who's been censored and who run the risk of being even more censored and are feeling scared, angry or overwhelmed by this unprecedented tyranny and control, I say to you - I have not forgotten you, I have your back. But I also want to encourage you to: - Stand up
- Speak up
- Stay strong and optimistic
We need a grassroots movement - an individual can do so much. Vision for freedomI want to reassure you that there's an army of people working in the background - health professionals, educators, lawyers, scientists, academics, - who have an optimistic vision for Australia's future. They're exploring new systems and structures that will facilitate a healthy, well and vibrant nation - not squash, censor and oppress us. And most importantly, the foundation of any new structures includes the restoration of your rights and freedom of speech. Like most of us, they've learned the lessons from lockdowns and vaccine mandates and know that we must come together - united - and not bow the knee to government tyranny, oppression and censorship.
