Bullock Island bridge replacement progressing well and well worth $5M funding from federal governmentFederal government provided $5 million for the Bullock Island bridge replacement and associated road works which is part of the master plan for the popular island. By news@gippsland - 7th March 2022 - Back to News Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester said, "Providing safe access for heavy vehicles associated with the fishing industry and Gippsland Ports activities, along with recreational vehicles, led to the bridge replacement which is being managed by East Gippsland Shire Council." 
Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester says work to replace the Bullock Island bridge is progressing well and was part of a major redevelopment of facilities Works to make a differenceMr Chester also said, "At the same time, there governments been seawall replacement works, a new toilet block, car park sealing and other projects by the Shire to improve the experience for locals and visitors. "Bullock Island has been an under-utilised community asset for decades and these works will make a real difference.
