Teddy Bears enjoy picnicking at the Moe Early Learning CentreStaff, children and parents at the Moe Early Learning Centre recently engaged in a fun filled day of Teddy bears. The children all brought along their favourite teddy to join in a Teddy Bears Picnic. By Latrobe City Council - 8th September 2006 - Back to News Specialised program days are a regular event at the Moe Early Learning Centre, with the inclusion of parents, staff, and the general community to provide educational learning experiences for the children to extend their worldly knowledge.
Staff at the centre have implemented this specialised program in conjunction with the regular individualised learning program. Some of the events featured to date, include celebrations of the Chinese New Year, Greek Day, Ukrainian Easter, Red Nose Day, Commonwealth Games, Italian Day, Pancake morning tea, Seasons Day as well as a visit from an ambulance, fire engine and the pet education clinic.
Children and staff also frequently enjoy partaking in an outdoor program, including time spent in the garden tending to a rewarding herb and vegetable garden and learning about the environment, as well as time enjoyed within a large sensory, physical adventure playground.
