Customer Service Is Moving!

Next time you drop into Bass Coast Shire Council’s Wonthaggi offices to speak with our helpful Customer Service staff, they may not be in their usual spot!

By Bass Coast - 13th June 2013 - Back to News

From 1 July, Council’s Customer Service staff will be located in the Council Chamber foyer with the entrance from Baillieu Street. The move will not be permanent. Customer Service staff are moving temporarily whilst their area is refurbished and improved. There will be no changes to the services offered by Customer Service staff.

The refurbished Customer Service area will cater for the growth Council is experiencing and improve the way we personally deal with our community. With many people choosing to use our different payment facilities, there is less traffic at the front desk and our new area will be updated to meet our customers’ current needs. New meeting rooms will be available so customers have a private place to talk with Council staff, and the front desk will be accessible for all.

Council plans to move Customer Service staff back to their new and improved area by mid-October, but in the meantime all enquires will be directed around the corner to the Baillieu Street entrance. Parking areas in the vicinity of the Baillieu Street entrance will be modified to avoid any inconvenience to our visitors. Council will ensure all moves are clearly signed so we ask our community to be mindful of the changes.
