Launch of 'Libraries Change Lives' exhibitionOpening of an exhibition campaign that enables demonstration of importance of libraries. By news@gippsland - 18th May 2021 - Back to News An exhibition of 18 posters and a booklet featuring stories about how the lives of Latrobe City community members have been changed by Latrobe Libraries. Latrobe City Council Mayor, Cr Sharon Gibson will open the exhibition. Guest speakers will include writers Sue Smethurst and Scot Gardner.
Libraries Change Lives campaign was aimed to demonstrate the important role libraries play in communities, everyone is welcome to join the campaign
Initiative of the state libraries
The ‘Libraries Change Lives’ campaign is an initiative of State Library Victoria and Public Libraries Victoria Network. The campaign enables communities to demonstrate the value of libraries through their own stories and the positive contribution to their lives. These stories assist in the advocacy of public libraries seeking increased funding to the sector.
