Reopening Of The Churchill Hotel Member for Morwell Russell Northe is encouraging the local community to head down to the reopened Churchill Hotel for a meal or drink with family and friends.
By Russell Northe - 7th June 2013 - Back to News Mr Northe said that following a few minor liquor licensing issues the Churchill Hotel has now reopened its sports bar.
"The sports bar has been open and fully operational since last Monday serving bar meals for lunch and dinner seven days a week," Mr Northe said.
"The bistro reopened last Friday night for dinner 7 days a week, and will reopen for lunch in the coming weeks.
"The chefs are currently working on a new menu based on what they think the local community want, the new menu will have quality meals at a great price."
A representative for the owners of the Churchill Hotel, Andrew McDonald said we are pleased to have the pub up and running again after a few minor issues with the previous tenants.
"We would like to thank Russell for his support in making the reopening happen," Mr McDonald
"It is due to Russell’s great efforts last weekend that we were able to reopen the bar at the Churchill Hotel last Monday.
"The Churchill Hotel is the only pub in Churchill and it was important that we got it back open as soon as possible.
"The Hotel is a meeting and social gathering place for locals therefore it was important that we got this facility back open.
"We are in the process of getting staff back in to their jobs this will be happening over the coming weeks.
"As of last Friday we have 12 staff back on deck including 4 bar staff, 4 chefs and 4 waiters.
"We look forward to the Churchill Hotel being fully operational again in the coming weeks."
