Maffra courthouse renovations completed with $60,000 funding from federal government's Local Roads and Community Infrastructure ProgramMafra Courthouse renovations completed. By news@gippsland - 11th November 2022 - Back to News Local MP Darren Chester (pictured) said the Maffra courthouse renovations were complete after receiving $60,000 through the previous federal government's Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCIP). 
Local MP Darren Chester front of the Maffra courthouse that is newly renovated Court house upgradesMr Chester said, "The courthouse, which is home to the Maffra Visitor Information Centre and the Maffra Gemstone Museum now features new paint, carpet, freshly sanded and sealed timber floors and new outdoor seating." "The Maffra Men's Shed also built and updated the gemstone cabinetry. Wellington Shire Council administered the project which is one of almost 40 projects completed in Wellington Shire under the first two rounds of the LRCIP." Mr Chester said.
