Water + Ochre = Civilization

Get your energy up! It’s time to get together and celebrate Gippsland’s strength.

By Linda Logan - 9th November 2007 - Back to News

It’s been a hard year; flood and fire have destroyed and renewed us and before it gets too hot or too wet again take some time out to relax, contemplate and celebrate.

Outspoken comedian Sue-Ann Post has never been scared of tackling the big issues and now she’s tackling the biggest questions of them all: How did human civilization begin and where is it taking us?

Sue-Ann Post takes us on a wild ride through pre-history examining the effects art, sex, drugs, and accountants have had on human history. Sue-Ann then leaps back into 21st century to see the impact our beginnings will have on the future of sustainability, employment and space travel. So join Sue-Ann and her tribe of cave people Barry, Neville and Shazza and get civilized!

Sue-Ann has written and performed numerous one-woman shows and has won a host of awards, including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Barry Award for best show. Posty’s thought-provoking weekly column appeared in The Age for three years and was nominated for the 2002 Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission’s Print Media Award. Her articles have also appeared in The West Australian, the UK’s Freethinker and Versal in The Netherlands.

"Hilarious and inspirational" – The Herald-Sun

Sue-Ann Post will be joined by auslan interpreters for this performance.

Sue-Anne Post will be performing at the Esso BHP Billiton Wellington Entertainment Centre in Sale at 8pm Friday 9 November as part of the Water Water Arts Festival

The water water festival 2007 program is now active. Please take the chance to explore our new website www.waterwater.com.au and make your choices for this year’s festival.
