Bass Coast Fire Fighters Assist At MorwellThe CFA requested that the Bass Coast Group of Fire Brigades activate two strike teams to assist in controlling the fire at the open cut coal mine near Morwell this weekend. By Bass Coast Shire Council - 16th October 2006 - Back to News The two teams (consisting of 22 firefighters in each team) will be transported to Morwell by Phillip Island Bus Lines on the Saturday and Sunday, to work the daytime shifts. No trucks or appliances will be sent from Bass Coast as the firefighters will use onsite firefighting vehicles and equipment.
