Ripper Sk8 Krew Reap Rewards Of CommitmentThe Nationals Member for Morwell Russell Northe has congratulated a group of Glengarry teenagers on their dedication and perseverance following news their efforts are to be rewarded. By Russell Northe - 27th April 2009 - Back to News The Ripper SK8 Krew have campaigned long and hard for a skate park facility in Glengarry and Mr Northe said the group would both be pleased and proud to hear Council has given the facility the go ahead.
"The boys first approached me for guidance in 2007 and their enthusiasm has never wavered," Mr Northe said.
"Every step of the way the Krew were keen to initiate actions that would give them the best possible chance of success and indeed showed maturity beyond their years when working with various levels of government and Glengarry businesses to secure the support required.
"The Ripper SK8 Krew have shown a remarkable level of commitment and determination to see this project through. They should be very proud of themselves, as should their families and their community."
