Pitch Perfect Start for Cricket Centre of Excellence
New Cricket Centre of Excellence at Ted Summerton Reserve now underway.
Works on Moe’s new Cricket Centre of Excellence at Ted Summerton Reserve are now underway, thanks to support from the Andrews Labor Government.
Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing and Latrobe City Mayor Graeme Middlemiss today kicked off works on the $3.5 million project, which will help attract major sporting events to the Latrobe Valley as well as providing world-class facilities for local players.
The redevelopment will provide an indoor cricket training area kitted out with cutting-edge technology like bowling machines, performance analysis cameras and software for high-level coaching as well as four practice wickets, new change rooms and administrative space.
The Labor Government’s investment includes $3 million from the Latrobe Valley Sports and Community Initiative and $500,000 from the Community Cricket Program.
The centre is due for completion later this year.
