Pet Expo At ForeshoreA pet expo including dog obedience demonstrations, grooming, horse shoeing and a pet show for the ugliest, cutest, best dressed and most talented pet will be held on the San Remo Foreshore on Saturday, 24 October from 10am to 3pm. By Bass Coast Shire Council - 16th October 2009 - Back to News Bass Coast Shire Council’s Community Safety Manager, Peter Laydon, said the event would promote responsible pet ownership in a fun and entertaining way.
"We’re inviting all pet owners to join us on the San Remo foreshore to learn more about their pets and how to look after them," said Mr Laydon.
"There will be the pet show for school aged children, market stalls, a pet registration booth, discounted micro-chipping and displays and demonstrations.
"We’ll be handing out lots of information about responsible pet ownership and microchipping is a big part of that.
"Sadly, many pets that end up in pound are not identified. Microchipping provides a permanent form of identification which can quickly reunite owners with lost or injured pets," continued Mr Laydon.
For more information about the expo or to enquire about becoming a stall holder please contact Council on 1300 BCOAST (226 278).
