Council's Aged and Disability Team are Winners again

Council’s Aged and Disability Services Team is a finalist in the Community Services and Health Industry Training Board Awards for 2001.

Council’s Aged and Disability Services Team is a finalist in the Community Services and Health Industry Training Board Awards for 2001.

Older residents throughout Bass Coast benefit from the Team’s work, including 1,300 Home and Community Care (HACC) clients.

The Bass Coast Shire Council Team is one of only three finalists chosen from a field of 50.

According to Team Leader, Ms. Jeanette Draper, the award recognises an organisation’s commitment to learning and the delivery of quality outcomes in the community services and health industry.

"Bass Coast Shire Council is committed to training and developing our staff to ensure they provide the best service possible to our clients," said Ms. Draper. "All our Homecarers have, or are training for, a Certificate 3 in Community Services plus first aid level two."

The winner of the Community Services and Health Industry Training Board Awards will be announced on 21 June.

This is the fourth accolade Council’s Aged and Disability Unit has received for commitment to training.
