Kalimna upgrades to be officially openedUpgrades to Kalimna facilities, including popular walking trails, will be opened on September 4 by East Gippsland Shire Council. Federal Member Darren Chester secured $2.25 million for these improvements. By news@gippsland - 26th August 2024 - Back to News Upgrades to key facilities for locals and visitors at Kalimna will be officially opened on September 4 at an event organised by East Gippsland Shire Council. Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester (pictured) secured the majority of the funding for the projects from the former government and expects the improvements to be popular over the summer months.

"The walking trail is part of a larger project that received $2.25 million from the previous federal government for the Hotel Rd lookout, Rotary Park redevelopment and linking pathways program, managed by East Gippsland Shire Council," said Mr Chester.
