Westernport Water wants your opinions

Westernport Water will conduct its annual customer satisfaction survey for two weeks starting on October 11.

By Susan Webster - 18th September 2007 - Back to News

An independent research firm will be contacting customers, chosen at random, for a simple 15 to 18-minute phone survey.

Westernport Water’s Managing Director David Mawer said the survey was an invaluable guidepost to the corporation’s performance and the quality of its services.

"The results help us to identify, understand and prioritise issues of importance to our customers," he said.

"The survey also shows us where there is room for improvement. We are very service-driven and we need this information to benchmark our performance each year."

Last year’s survey offered the water corporation insights into where water restrictions most affected customers.

"It showed us that the greatest impact was among the garden-lovers, nearly 60% mentioned not watering their gardens while 30% mentioned bucketing grey water," Mr Mawer said.

The survey is completely anonymous. Mr Mawer said: "There is no cross-over of contact details between the survey company, Bartley Consulting, and Westernport Water. The survey complies with regulations under the Privacy Act and is modeled on similar phone surveys conducted by water corporations in many other regions."

Anyone with queries concerning the survey can contact Merryl Todd on 5956 4100.
