WhaleFace is a platform that lets anyone contribute to the conservation of Southern Right Whales in south-east Australia. By submitting your sightings and photos of Southern Right Whale faces, you will be helping researchers monitor and protect this Endangered species.

Monitoring the southern right whale
WhaleFace is the unique patterns of white features on the southern right whale's head to identify its uniqueness.The collection of whale faces help us monitor its movements, and breeding patterns. The WhaleFace project allows the community to easily contribute their captured photos and sightings that will help support meaningful scientific research, and also provide updates on the whale's breeding season.
