The Wonder Woman Dinner will be held on Thursday 30 August, at the Workman’s Club in Wonthaggi.

The dinner has been organised by Bass Coast Shire Council’s Small Business Development Officer, Margaret Murray. It is being sponsored by the Victorian Government’s as part of Energise Enterprise 07, Victoria’s Small Business Festival which is happening all through the State during August.

"The dinner is a way of recognising our busy working women, who are juggling family and work commitments," said Ms Murray.

"Trying to get that work/life balance right can be incredibly difficult.

"Hopefully a night like the Wonder Woman Dinner will give working women a chance to relax and also to share their experiences with each other."

Denise Drysdale is the special guest speaker for the evening. Denise has been in the public eye for over forty years, since she made her television debut at the age of 11. In 1975, she won the Gold Logie for the Most Popular Female Personality on Australian Television and repeated the achievement in 1976. At the same time, she won consecutive Silver Logies. Over the years, Denise has appeared on numerous television shows, including The Ernie Sigley Show, The Norman Gunston Show, Celebrity Squares, Young Talent Time, Homocide, Division Four, Bellbird and Countdown.

"There’s no doubt that Denise has faced some big challenges with such a high profile career," said Ms Murray.

"She has some great and entertaining insights on how to get a work and life balance.

"This is going to be a great night out, so I really encourage local business women to come along," continued Ms Murray.

"It will also be a chance to link up with other business women in the area, so bring your business card along too.

"Get in early and book your ticket so you don’t miss out," urged Ms Murray.

The Wonder Woman dinner will be held on Thursday 30 August at the "Kirrak Room", Workman’s Club, 75 Graham Street, Wonthaggi.

The cost of the two course dinner is $25 per person for early bird bookings or $30 on the night.

Bookings can be made at Bass Coast Shire Council Customer Service Centres at Cowes, Grantville, Inverloch or Wonthaggi. Please RSVP by Monday 20 August. For further details, please call Bass Coast Shire Council on 1300 BCOAST (1300 226 278).
