Powerhouse Blues at Wurruk

A free blues jam will be held 23 July to Celebrate Wurruk!

By Wellington Shire Council - 17th July 2006 - Back to News

Popular Gippsland band Powerhouse Blues will play at the event, organised by the Wurruk Community Harmony Group.

The blues session will be held at the Wurruk Cricket Club from 12-3pm.

"We are inviting people to come along, listen to the band, enjoy a free BBQ and have a great day out" said Heather Colcott from the Wurruk Community Harmony Group.

"We had a very successful event to Celebrate Wurruk during the housing week festival -more than 200 people joined in the festivities. This is another opportunity to bring the local community together and celebrate what is great about Wurruk" she said.

The event is supported by Wellington Shire Council, Office of Housing, Victoria Police, Wurruk Neighbourhood Watch, Wurruk Community House, Kilmany Uniting Care and Wurruk Primary School.
