Bass Coast Planning Scheme Review

Are you interested in development and building in our Shire? Are you concerned about how Bass Coast will look in 2030?

By Bass Coast Shire Council - 12th October 2007 - Back to News

If so, Bass Coast Shire Council needs you to be part of a review of the Bass Coast Planning Scheme.

Council’s Strategic Coordinator, Lisa Dunlop said that input from the community was vital.

"Council is holding a series of consultation sessions to hear what people think and what they want the Shire to look like in the future," said Ms Dunlop.

"We have to review the Bass Coast Planning Scheme every three years. This review has to be sent to the Minister for Planning in May 2008."

Ms Dunlop said the review will focus on how land in the Shire is used and developed.

"The review will focus on big picture issues. Council recognised that how we manage our growth is critical."

Consultants from Hunt and Hunt Consulting firm have been engaged to run a series of consultation sessions.

The consultation sessions will be held at the following times and places:

Grantville: Wednesday 24 October 2007 from 12.00pm – 1.30pm

Grantville Transaction Centre, 1504 Bass Highway, Grantville
(Cnr Bass Highway and Pier Road, Grantville).
