Opera Viventi Performing In Bass CoastHigh profile vocal quartet Opera Viventi will be performing at a new event to be held in Bass Coast Shire on 12 February 2011. By Bass Coast - 12th October 2010 - Back to News The event, Serenade at Sunset, is being organised by a group of volunteers from in and around Grantville.
Organiser, Faye Tuchtan, said Serenade at Sunset was the only event of its kind in Bass Coast Shire.
"We want to provide a performance that is very special," said Ms Tuchtan.
"We will be offering a professional, high quality out-door light opera of popular musical numbers, that will appeal to all ages and people from all walks-of-life."
Collectively, the singers have performed roles for Opera Australia, Oz Opera, Victorian Opera, Melbourne Opera and Melbourne City Opera as well as performing as soloists throughout Australia.
"We are extremely lucky to have them performing for us," continued Ms Tuchtan.
Opera Viventi will be joined by a host of local performers and other talented artists at Grantville Lodge.
"Grantville Lodge was previously known as Shiloh Ranch in Grantville-Glen Alvie Road. It’s an ideal setting for an outdoor concert and is an amazing site with all-weather facilities
"Guests can watch the sun set over Western Port while enjoying a picnic and a glass of wine or purchase a meal on site.
"It really will be a magical family evening," said Ms Tuchtan.
Tickets go on sale on Monday, 15 November and will be available from Bass Coast Shire Council Customer Service Centres and Information Centres, Corinella & District Community Centre and Stockdale & Leggo, Grantville.
