Melbourne jazz group to entertain WellingtonWellington Shire Council’s Esso BHP Billiton Wellington Entertainment Centre will host energetic Melbourne jazz ensemble, Banana Oil on Friday 30 April at 9.00pm as part of the 2004 Café Concert Series. By Wellington Shire Council - 21st April 2004 - Back to News The show - which is presented by Gippsland Regional Arts Sale - is described as a slippery and eclectic mix of jazz featuring drums, percussion, fiddle, hammond organ and tenor saxophone.
Banana Oil formed in 1996 and have enjoyed a successful career, winning three APRA music awards and appearing on television shows including Hey Hey, It’s Saturday, The Midday Show, and Rage. Their work, My Family featured on the soundtrack of Australian film Bedazzled and in a Telstra television advertisement.
Tickets for the entertainment centre performance are available for $20 per person, while there are also dinner & show packages at $52 per person. Admission is free to those under 16 years of age.
